Sport-K Concept / Final Course Assignment
Final Course Assignment (FCA):
Shape Design for Formula SAE
vehicle: Experience of integration between Design and Engineering at the
university.
This project proposes to develop the surface design
for a vehicle of Formula SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) Team KRT formed
by students of mechanical and electrical engineering at the Engineering School,
thus fostering integration among the courses of Design and Engineering on automotive
industrial processes at UFBa (Federal University of Bahia), based on the
assumption that in great companies, Design and Engineering work seamlessly.
Keko – 1st Contest of University Design | Project K
Placement: 1st Place
Keko is the Brazilian leader in accessories for
customizing automotive vehicles. Precursor of trends in its sector, is noted
for pioneering, innovation, design, technology and product quality.
Keko launched in 2011 a challenge for college students
from all over Brazil: The Project K. The proposal was to develop a national
customizing light pick-up. The winner received a cash prize, a certificate and
a trip to know the new facilities and the development process of Keko products
in Serra Gaucha.
The chosen vehicle for my proposal was the Ford
Courier, for not having its identity updated for a long time. The first step
was to respect its contemporary design and then proposing alternatives in its essence,
transforming it into a Show Car in order to add value to Keko brand and its
products. In this concept, I sought to represent strength, stateliness,
sturdiness and reliability with the intention to awaken an adventurous mood,
which served for works in the field and at the same time visually stand out in
everyday city life.
